The Metro reports that Germany and Bayern Munich defender, Jerome Boateng has been advised to leave Bayern this summer, which has put a lot of clubs in Europe, including Manchester United, under high alert.

The German is no longer the first choice at Bayern and has dropped down the pecking order in recent years. In a recent interview given to BR, Bayern President Uli Hoeness revealed that the Bundesliga giants had made their stance pretty clear to the defender.
As a friend, I would recommend him to leave the club this summer.
He has looked out of place of late, he needs a fresh challenge now.
Interestingly, Boateng turned down an opportunity to join United last summer, preferring instead to force a transfer to PSG. A move never materialized but it wrecked his position at the club. This season, the Red Devils could actually come to his rescue, which does add a sense of irony to the saga. His £118,000 a week salary is a constraint to most suitors, but it is the least of the problems for United.
