#1 United get huge Koulibaly update
United fans, look away. Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti has potentially ruled out any move for his star defender, the Metro reports. The Senegalese was apparently Solskjaer's preferred option to solve his defensive woes. United let in a record number of goals this season and the Norwegian has singled out the back four as the one area that needs immediate reinforcements.
However, recent news revealed that United were apparently deterred by Napoli's asking price for Koulibaly. The Senegalese has a £132m release clause in his contract, and it is thought that the club are not willing to release him for a penny less.
If United were still hoping for a coup of sorts, Ancelotti seems to have poured cold water on their hopes. Speaking to Radio Rai at the end of the game against Bologna on Saturday, which ended in a 2-3 defeat, Ancelotti looked in bullish mood when asked about Koulibaly's potential move in the summer
Koulibaly will remain in Naples for the next season
It seems that Solskjaer will have to turn his attention elsewhere to solve his defensive issues.
