Manchester United are planning to buy two of Paris Saint-Germain’s stars. According to reports from The People, United are ready to pay £57 million for both Edinson Cavani and Thiago Silva.
Although Cavani’s name has been linked with Manchester United several times in the past, there is a chance the Uruguayan might leave the French capital this year if United are able to meet his wages of £250,000 a week.
Thiago Silva, on the other hand, would be a more valuable asset to Manchester United as he could help solidify United’s frail defence. The Brazilian is considered to be one of the best centre backs in the world at the moment and was brought by Paris Saint Germain from AC Milan in 2012 for £30 million.
Dani Alves, who has been linked to several clubs, claimed that he has not yet put any thought into his next club. The two-time Champions league winning right back is out of a contract in the summer and has piqued Van Gaal’s interest as the Dutchman hopes to improve his defence for next season.
Alves talked to Beln Sports regarding his future. He said, “I am very happy at Barcelona and I have not signed with anyone.
“In life, you have to be thankful. Barca are a club that changed my life, made me realize all my dreams. I'll get to the end of my contract with the same ambition as when I came here.
“If the club asks me to look for another alternative, then I'll look at the other options. But for now, this is not the case. I stay focused on the end of the season because I'm still a competitor. A decision will be made at the end of the season.”
According to reports from the Mirror, Manchester United are ready to meet PSV Eindhoven’s asking price of £25 million to beat Liverpool in signing Memphis Depay.
