What's the story?
Manchester United star Paul Pogba would prefer to rejoin Juventus over Spanish giants Real Madrid, according to Sky Sports.
In case you didn't know...
Rumours are circling that the 26-year-old is desperate to leave Old Trafford after an inconsistent season with the Red Devils.
Manchester United have the option to extend his contract but are willing to let him go if the price is right.
Pogba previously played for Juventus where he burst onto the international scene, winning four Serie A titles and two Italian Cups before returning to Manchester in 2016. The French World Cup winner recently admitted he is looking for a "new challenge."
The heart of the matter
Juventus are keen to make a move for their former player and are reportedly doing everything within their power to get a deal through.
The Italian champions enjoyed domestic success last season, winning another Serie A title under former boss Massimiliano Allegri, but struggled to make an impact in the Champions League despite signing Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid last summer.
New head coach Maurizio Sarri is looking to rebuild his squad and is eager to sign the Manchester United midfielder. The Old Lady faces competition from European rivals Real Madrid and Barcelona but are confident that they can put together an offer that United won't be able to refuse.
Pogba is also a target for Los Blancos head coach Zinedine Zidane who is a long-time admirer of his fellow countryman.
Juventus Sporting director Fabio Paratici travelled to London last week to meet with United officials to start talks between the clubs whilst finalising a deal for former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri.
What's next?
Juventus are hopeful they will be able to wrap up a deal by the end of the summer but are expecting a bidding war for the French international. Pogba is angling for a return to Turin and the Italian side are expected to offer £116 million for the midfielder.
