Real Madrid agree fee for De Gea
Spanish Journal Don Balon are certain of a £66m deal being agreed between Manchester United and Real Madrid for David De Gea’s transfer later this summer. Los Blancos have targetted De Gea for last two seasons and the Spaniard was close to joining Real Madrid, who were only denied his signature by a fax machine in 2015.
Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is keen to add a quality keeper to his squad and sees the Spaniard as the best option, given the player’s willingness to move back to Spain. Despite admitting he is happy at Old Trafford, De Gea is open to the idea of joining Real Madrid, if Jose Mourinho and Man United accept the reported £66m fee for the Spaniard.
Mourinho wants Kroos in exchange for De Gea
Soon after Don Balon claimed Real Madrid’s £66m agreement for David De Gea, Daily Star have confirmed Jose Mourinho’s interest in Real Madrid midfield star Toni Kroos. Daily Star understands that Mourinho is willing to spend up to £50m to find a suitable partner for Paul Pogba before the start of next season.
As per the reports, Mourinho will demand Kroos to be involved in a player+cash swap deal if Real Madrid want to sign De Gea next season. Mourinho thinks that Madrid are desperate for De Gea and will agree to Manchester United’s demands.
Kroos was also handpicked by United legend Paul Scholes as the ideal man to free up Paul Pogba in United’s midfield. Daily Star claims Real Madrid will need to offer £20m+Toni Kroos if they want to bring De Gea to Santiago Bernabeu next season.
James snubs Liverpool for Man United
Liverpool have no chance of signing James Rodriguez, according to Manchester Evening News who claim that the Colombian playmaker will choose Manchester United over the Merseyside club. James is frustrated at the lack of playing time and is certain to quit Real Madrid in the summer.
Earlier in the week, Daily Mail reported a story which linked James with a move to Bayern Munich, however, Jose Mourinho admires the Colombian midfielder and will push Ed Woodward to negotiate a deal for him if Real Madrid come calling for David De Gea in the summer.
Liverpool’s hopes of signing James or any other marquee player also depends on their impending verdict over the alleged signing of Stoke City schoolboy against Premier League’s official regulations. If found guilty, the Reds might be banned from making any new first team signings this summer.
West Ham to pay £1m for Ashley Fletcher
Manchester United have finally reached a £1million agreement with West Ham for the transfer of Ashley Fletcher. The 21-year-old striker joined Hammers last summer from on a four-year deal, however, United failed to agree a transfer fee.
Earlier today, The Sun claimed that the Premier League pair have now agreed on a deal with West Ham paying United £1m for his services. The Red Devils will receive an additional £1m if Fletcher meets an appearance clause in his contract.
