Griezmann may not play Champions League for Atletico
Antonie Griezmann is increasingly dissatisfied with his time at Atletico Madrid and is willing to quit the club in January, according to Diario Gol.
Reports claim Griezmann has already told United about his plans as the Red Devils prepare a £93million bid for the French striker which would meet the player's current release clause.
He was certain to join United this summer but the transfer was put on halt following Atletico's transfer ban.
Diario Gol also claim that Griezmann may ask Atletico to omit him from their Champions League squad which would then allow him to play for United in the latter stage of the competition next year.
Griezmann's availability in January was one of the key reasons why Jose Mourinho did not push for another attacker in the summer transfer window as the attacker is very well equipped to play from the wide left or from the number 10 position.
Rashford eyed as Ronaldo's replacement
Marcus Rashford continued his meteoric rise to the professional football with a sublime performance in England's World Cup Qualification win vs Slovakia a few nights ago.
Rashford assisted and scored to secure a 2-1 win for Gareth Southgate's team which has incidentally caught Real Madrid's attention as they want to sign the player next summer, reports Don Balon.
Rashford has been playing on the left wing this season for both Manchester United and England, a position which is currently occupied by Cristiano Ronaldo.
Real Madrid, however, want a long-term replacement for Ronaldo and have eyed Rashford as a potential transfer target next season.
Although United are yet to put a hefty release clause to Rahsford's contract, it appears rather unlikely that Jose Mourinho will let United sell Rashford after the start he has shown this season.
Ronaldo convinced me to sign for Man City
New Manchester City attacker Bernardo Silva has confirmed that it was former Manchester United great Cristiano Ronaldo who convinced him to sign for United's bitter rivals, Man City.
Speaking in a recent interview, Silva said: “When I was with Portugal at the Confederations Cup and about to sign, I asked Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani about the city. They told me how much they enjoyed it here.
“They said that all of the people were great and that it’s a real football city. The Premier League, too – a competitive league with full stadiums each week and everyone watching. They both said it would be a great move.”
