While the general consensus is that the technical director sits with the manager to discuss potential signings, it seems as though Lionel Messi is the one that pulls the strings at the Camp Nou.

The Argentina captain has reportedly laid out a plan after the Catalans failed to land Antoine Griezmann from Atletico. According to Don Balon, Messi has targeted Manchester United’s Paul Pogba as a plan B for missing out on Antoine Griezmann.

It is a bit absurd that Pogba, who was bought for €100 million by United, is seen as an alternate for Griezmann, a forward, when the Red Devils star is actually a midfielder.
