A man in demand

Another defender linked with a move to the Old Trafford is Toby Maguire. The Englishman had a fantastic World Cup with his country as he was not only a strong figure in defence but also a great threat aerially during set-pieces.

And now, it seems as though the Red Devils might sneak in a bid for him in order to bring him to the Old Trafford. According to Daily Mail, Manchester United could offer £65 million for the defender.

However, they will need to sell a defender before they can sign the Englishman.

Willian, Willian, Willian… I can’t really fathom why or how he is in such demand with both Barcelona and Manchester United vying for the signature of the Brazilian star. Nevertheless, the fact is that he is a man in demand and there is nothing we can do about it.

According to Don Balon, Eden Hazard will not play at Barca and the Catalans’ main priority this summer is the acquisition of Willian from the Stamford Bridge. Apparently, there is “talk about an offer of €72 million” for the Brazilian.

Meanwhile, there is this report from Stretty News which claims that the Catalans fear that Manchester United could get ahead of them and sign Willian for a fee of £65 million.

To stay or leave?

And now, it is about Anthony Martial. Ever since the announcement of his agent that the Frenchman wants to leave the club, he has been linked with a move out of the Old Trafford.

This is something that The Times also seem to report as they claim that Chelsea are working a deal to bring in the Frenchman as a potential replacement for Eden Hazard. United want around £90 million, but Chelsea are not willing to pay that much.

However, Mirror believe that the Frenchman might as well stay at the Theatre of Dreams and Manchester United will trigger the extension clause that would keep him at the club till 2020.
