Fekir is a wanted man

After a great season with Lyon, Nabil Fekir is a wanted man as Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool – who almost signed him before the World Cup – are interested in bringing the Frenchman to England.

His coach at Lyon Bruno Genesio, meanwhile, has admitted that he does have offers to leave the club but wants the Frenchman to stay because it will help the team a lot.

"If there is a possibility like with Liverpool, Nabil will certainly seize the opportunity, once both parties agree," Genesio said.

"I am working under the assumption that [Fekir] will stay with us. He wants to take the next step.

"The president has offered him the chance to leave. We will see after the World Cup. If Nabil is here, it makes my job easier.

"I would be happy to keep him. I think that he is looking at two possibilities: to stay to play the Champions’ League with us or to leave to join a bigger club.”
