Three things in life are certain: death, taxes and Manchester United being linked with defenders. The Red Devils have been credited with an interest in a lot of defenders and one of them is AC Milan’s Alessio Romagnoli.

United had previously made a €45 million + €5 million bid for the defender. However, Milan have rejected the bid, according to Corriere dello Sport via Metro.

Meanwhile, Manchester United seem to have a thing or two about attempting to capture transfer targets of rival clubs. After stealing Fred from under Pep Guardiola’s nose, they have now been linked with a move for Liverpool target Xherdan Shaqiri, who has a £12 million release clause, according to The Sun.
