Paris Saint-Germain is apparently set to launch a massive bid in efforts to thwart Manchester United's interest in Antoine Griezmann and bring him back to France. The French champions are in the transfer market searching for a replacement to fill the void created by Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s departure to Manchester United. Interestingly, Jose Mourinho is a long-time admirer of the Frenchman and believes he is the ideal replacement to fill in the shoes of none other than the ageing Ibrahimovic himself.
Antoine Griezmann has showcased consistent form for both his club and the country raising comparisons to greats like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. His career highlights are hard to ignore just as much as they’ve put other Ballon d’Or nominees in a spot of bother. Some examples of his success are guiding Atletico Madrid to UEFA Champions League final and France to the UEFA Euro 2016 final. After failing to sign a big-name player such as Neymar, PSG is in the hunt and it seems they have identified the right choice.
On the other hand, Manchester United broke the world record earlier this summer transfer window by signing Paul Pogba for a £89 million. And due to the midfielder’s penchant to link up with his compatriot effortlessly both on and off the field, odds are already in favour of Griezmann moving to Manchester next summer.

Furthermore, Griezmann himself made it no secret by revealing that he thinks of Manchester United as a great club when he was asked about the rumours of his move last summer. Griezmann was heavily linked to several clubs at that time, however, his mentor and Atletico Madrid’s manager Diego Simeone stayed at the club which persuaded him to continue.
Not only did Griezmann turn down offers but he also signed a new deal at Vicente Calderon that has upgraded his release clause to a colossal figure of 100 million euros.
Another premise based on which the Manchester United fans would be delighted to hold on to their optimism is Griezmann’s wish to replicate his idol David Beckham’s success. Antoine Griezmann is a huge fan of The Red Devil legend which has inspired him to wear the no. 7 jersey. This could also mean that the player has hinted at another of his wish as we could also connect the dots of reality with Paul Pogba already at Old Trafford.
