Manchester United’s official medical partner, Toshiba Medical Systems, have installed a brand new state-of-the-art medical facility at the Aon training complex which is said to be the first of its kind in UK. David Moyes, at the official unveiling of the new equipment yesterday, declared that United now have “the best medical facilities of any football club in the world”.
This will help the club medical staff in early diagnosis of the injuries, speed up the rehabilitation processes and enhance the longevity of a player at the top level – among few of the many benefits of the new facility.
This pioneering technology has certainly made the United manager excited about the prospect of attracting quality players to Old Trafford.
“It’s a wonderful facility that we can show off to new players and something we should be very proud of,” the Reds boss said.
“Manchester United has great partnerships and to be working with Toshiba is important to attract new players to the club. The Aon Training Complex is one of the leading football centers in the world and to have this new medical unit connected to it is fantastic.”
“It’s private and somewhere the players can trust, which is important for us,” he said. “It’s a great on-site facility where they can come and know they’ll get the right decision made about their injury.
“We will be able to get scans quicker and have a better idea of when players can train. That will help us get them on the field quicker, which will, in turn, result in fewer injuries.”
It’s a win-win situation for everyone associated with Toshiba as well as Manchester United and something that also demonstrates how club’s commercial ventures complements it’s on-field activities as well
