Sources report that Manchester United are looking to sign Turkish striker Burak Yilmaz from Galatasaray.
Burak Yilmaz, currently 27, has been in excellent form for his club. But it’s his remarkably consistent form in the Champions League that has caught Sir Alex’s eye. The Turkish striker has now joined the list of top scorers in Champion League, leaving him at par with Cristiano Ronaldo.
He scored the winning goal against Manchester United during the match between the two clubs in November.
It is believed that United have offered £10 million to bring the striker to Old Trafford. The Istanbul side is expected to not ignore the deal considering they had bought him for £4 million last July.
This season, Yilmaz has scored an amazing 19 goals in 25 appearances in all competitions. During his last season with his former club, Trabzonspor, he scored 35 goals.
There are many rumours claiming that United striker Javier Hernandez could be leaving the club. This can be possibility as the club’s others strikers, Danny Welback, Robin Van Persie and Wayne Rooney, are getting more first team action than the Mexican. Keeping this in mind, Ferguson would consider a move for the highly successful Turkish striker.
