According to reports from Daily Star, Manchester United’s Michael Carrick and Nemanja Vidic have agreed contract extensions and are set to stay at the club.
Reports claim that the United captain has agreed a 12 month extension while Carrick got a 2 year deal that could potentially see him finish his career at the club. Both players were in the last few months of their contract.
The signings could be seen as a vote of confidence on Moyes, as he needs his senior players to stick with him so that the results can be turned around and a title challenge can be mounted. United are currently on a good run of form, winning their last 3 Premier League games, including a win over league leaders Arsenal, cutting the gap to 5 points.
Nemanja Vidic had been a target for Juventus while Carrick was being looked at by other EPL clubs, but now the fans can be rest assured that neither would be leaving anytime soon.
