It has become a familiar scene in recent times to see Manuel Neuer well outside his 18-yard-box, often getting involved in some passing game with his outfield players.
The Bayern Munich goalkeeper has seldom shown confidence with the ball at his feet, most recently in a game against Hamburg, where he took on the role of a defensive midfielder, leaving the goal completely unguarded in order to keep possession for his team.
This time however, he didn’t have to go far off from the 18-yard-area to showcase his skills on the ball.
During Bayern’s match against Frankfurt, the German international switched play with a first-time back heel flick in the 72nd minute that even impressed an irritated Franfurt manager who was trailing 3-0 at the time.
