Maradona, aged 52, becomes a father again

The ex-girlfriend of Diego Armando Maradona, Veronica Ojeda gave birth to the 4th child of the soccer legend. According to lawyer Jorge Auruccio, the boy Diego Fernando Maradona was born on Wednesday night at a clinic in Buenos Aires.

Aged 52, Maradona is currently working as a sports events consultant in Dubai. The attorney said that the father is well aware of the health condition of the mother and child.

The lawyer also said that it’s not confirmed whether Maradona is going to fly down to Argentina to meet his newborn. He will send an formal acknowledgement of paternity through the Argentine Embassy in the United Arab Emirates.

Diego Armando Maradona and his ex-girlfriend separated several months ago. The news of Ojeda’s pregnancy was made a big issue by the retired soccer star’s ex-wife and 2 adult daughters. They were furious when they heard the news. Getting to the know about how angry Maradona’s former spouse Claudia Villafañe was, Auruccio immediately went to the court to issue a restraining order that bans Claudia from coming 100 meters (328 feet) anywhere near Ojeda. Claudia and Ojeda also signed a mutual non-aggression pact before the court.

Claudia’s daughters Dalma and Giannina criticized Ojeda severely in front of the media.

Apart from the 2 daughters and the newborn baby, Maradona also has another son Diego Maradona Sinagra who was born in Italy in 1986. The ex-Argentine international denies the fact that he is the father of Diego Maradona Sinagra but courts have proved that Sinagra is his son.

Giannia who is married to Sergio “Kun” Aguero have a son Benjamin. So, Diego Armando Maradona is a grandfather too.
