Borussia Monchengladbach’s young keeper, Marc-André ter Stegen is soon set to announce his new club, widely expected to be Barcelona, as he leaves his home-town club which he joined as 4-yr-old way back in 1996. Having already lost a talent in Marco Reus recently, Gladbach realised that some of their best players may be forced to leave the club in order to realise their true potential.
He played his last game for the club at home, a 3-1 win over Mainz, which keeps their European dreams alive. Prior to the game and after the 90 minutes, ter Stegen was left in tears, overwhelmed by the support and realising that he’s saying goodbye to his home. He even orchestrated the fans’ chants post game on an emotional day at Borussia Park.
