Barcelona confirmed the signing of Marc Andre ter Stegen from Borussia Monchengladbach as their goalkeeper.
ter Stegen graduated from the youth academy of Borussia Monchengladbach and made his debut for them in 2011 at the age of 19. He quickly cemented his place as the first choice goalkeeper and was their best player the last couple of seasons.
The German is a tall, well built goalkeeper who has great reflexes and dominates the penalty box well. At just 22, he is definitely a long term signing for Barcelona.
Barcelona also recalled Gerard Deulofeu and Rafinha from their loan spells at Everton and Celta Vigo respectively. They also announced that long term no 2 goalkeeper Jose Pinto will leave the club after 6 years of service.
Earlier in the day, Barcelona also announced the signing of Luis Enrique as their new manager.
