Chelsea look all set to sign Marco Van Ginkel from Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem. The 20-year-old Dutch midfielder made his international debut against Germany last November.
He becomes Jose Mourinho’s second signing at Chelsea after the arrival of German international forward Andre Schurrle from Bayer Leverkusen.
The club statement said: “The player will join Chelsea subject to a medical, agreement of personal terms and legal documentation.”
Reports say that he is being valued at about £8m. Making his first-team debut in April 2010, Van Ginkel became a regular last season and was one of the prime reasons behind Vitesse finishing fourth in the Dutch league.
