Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti has reportedly asked to leave the club due to disputes over a new contract.
According to L’Equipe, Verrati wants a better contract that will be worth around €3-4 million per year but PSG are unwilling to match his demands.
“We’re not happy,” Verrati’s agent, Donto Di Campli told the French newspaper. “The situation is starting to become difficult.”
“We even asked the club to allow him to leave but this permission was not granted.”
It has been suggested that Napoli are interested in the Italian midfielder, but told by managing director Jean-Claude Blanc that he is not for sale.
A meeting is scheduled for next week between Di Campli and Blanc where both the parties will be looking to get the best out of this situation.
