Manchester United starlet Marcus Rashford is all set to make his comeback to the England’s senior squad next month when England take part in the World Cup qualifiers against Malta and Slovenia. Newly-appointed manager, Sam Allardyce has realised that it is impossible to hold the teen sensation back.
According to the Daily Mirror, Sam Allardyce is set to name his squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Slovenia and Malta and with Harry Kane’s injury, Rashford will be included for the first time since Euro 2016. However, with Sam Allardyce facing an FA investigation after the Daily Telegraph’s sting operation, it is unclear whether he will continue as the England manager. The manager is alleged to have met a bogus consortium of Far East businessmen seeking advice on the Premier League’s billion-pound transfer market among other charges.
Tottenham Spurs forward Harry Kane suffered an ankle ligament injury during his side’s 1-0 victory against Sunderland in the Premier League and has has been sidelined for at least two months. Thus, barring any late injury issue Rashford should make the squad.

The 18-year-old who came to limelight scoring on debut for Manchester United has impressed this season as well. In United’s 4-1 win over Premier League holders Leicester City, Rashford justified his selection by scoring from Juan Mata’s low cross. The game also saw Jose Mourinho dropping skipper Wayne Rooney to the bench after a string of dismal performances.
Allardyce needs a replacement for the games at Wembley and in Ljubljana three days later, but there is a possibility Rashford could remain with the Under-21s. The England U-21 side is scheduled to play against Kazakhstan and Bosnia in the U-21 Euro 2017 qualifiers.
The youngster has been in great form and even scored a hat-trick on his debut for the U-21 side earlier this month against Norway. Gareth Southgate’s U-21 team are also facing injury problems in the forward line. The senior team have Jamie Vardy, Daniel Sturridge, and Wayne Rooney on their roster to play in the forward position.

Big Sam was present at the Old Trafford and saw Rashford score and could give the teenager a start given his recent performances. In fact, Rashford has scored in his last three games and has found the net more times than Vardy, Sturridge, and Rooney.
Allardyce, though, has numerous problems to address before naming his squad. Sammy Lee, the England manager’s assistant was at the London Stadium to watch Southampton custodian Fraser Forster and West Ham’s Michail Antonio. However, it is understood that Southampton forward Charlie Austin, who found the back of the net five times in four appearances this season, is not in the reckoning for a national call up.
