According to a German newspaper Bild, Bayern Munich have made a move for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Mario Goetze for 37 million euros from their rivals Borussia Dortmund.
Bild reports that Bayern Munich has activated the €37m release clause in Mario Goetze’s contract. Goetze is currently earning five million euros per season with Dortmund and according to Bild, a seven-million-euro deal has been signed with Bayern Munich.
If the reports of the 20-year-old German midfielder signing a contract with Bayern Munich are confirmed, it would be Bayern Munich’s second coup of the year.
Reports of Goetze’s transfer come in as both Dortmund and Bayern prepare for their Champions League semi-final clashes. Bayern are facing Barcelona on Tuesday while Dortmund will clash with Real Madrid on Wednesday.
