Mario Gomez, who scored of 41 goals in the 2011/2012 season for German giants Bayern Munich, is set to leave the club in search of pastures new.
The 27-year old has fallen behind Mario Mandzukic in the pecking order after suffering from an injury that kept him out on the sidelines for most of the season. With the apparent arrival of Robert Lewandowski from Borussia Dortmund, the German has little chance of sealing his place in the starting eleven.
“As far as I am concerned, the trend in the matter of Mario is definitely a transfer. He will be leaving Bayern Munich this summer,” said his agent.
A number of clubs are lining up to acquire Gomez’s services spanning many leagues. The like include Manchester City, Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund and Napoli
With three years left in his contract, Gomez will cost quite a sum for any team but his impeccable goal-scoring record, suitors surely be willing to stump it out.
