Marko Marin - The German Messi

Marko Marin is the first German player to be on Roberto Di Matteo’s squad for the 2012/2013 season. Marin will be one of the bright,young stars who will add some spice and extravaganza to the team. It will be a new challenge for Marin at Chelsea and the player is likely to relish it.

Marin has the potential to provide spectacular entertainment for the fans and hardly a few can display their skills better than the German footballer. The superstar has scored 8 goals for Werder Bremen from 87 matches. He played a very pivotal role in providing assists to the team. He possesses a unique technique to get past defenders as he loves to get into one on one situations where he can take players on.

I have witnessed Marin’s playing for Werder Bremen a number of times and I must admit the lad is brilliant on the ball. His prolific passes made me go nuts, honest!

Marko is a player who creates a winning formula for the team and has been described as a “player who can decide a game on his own”. He has had a memorable season at Werder Bremen and top clubs are hot over his heels. I feel Chelsea made the a top notch decision in signing Marin. After the departure of Anelka to Shanghai Shenhua , Chelsea have lost their key winger who plays consistent, attractive football. With Mata, Ramires and Marin, defending champions Chelsea will have the confidence in their pursuit to win the Premier League this season. More over, the addition of Marin can also help Torres regain the form he had at Liverpool with his brilliant assists. If he continues to thrill the world with his football skills with Chelsea, he will be definitely recognized by the German manager Loew for a starting place in the team and I believe Marin can do it because he’s got great potential.

Marin is a player in tip-top condition and his time at Chelsea will help unleash the pride and passion within Chelsea. The German footballer indicated that moving to London was a dream come true. After all who will say NO towards joining the European Champs.

His skills and style of play have been compared to Lionel Messi. He is very adept at providing through balls to teammates as he is at chipping the ball over the goal-keeper and watching the ball drift in to the net. More or less, his stunning dribbling skills make you go berserk. Marin’s versatility allows him to play anywhere across the midfield because of his fluid style of play. I have a great feeling about this player and his tenure with the Blues. Let’s hope for the best outcome!
