Marouane Fellaini faces a ban for allegedly spitting on Pablo Zabaleta

Fellaini was only booked for elbowing the City defender

Woes pile up for David Moyes as his Belgian midfielder, Marouane Fellaini finds himself amidst yet another controversy.

Rumours are that after elbowing Pablo Zabaleta during the Manchester Derby, Fellaini spat on him.

Fellaini could be subject to an investigation from the FA, just as Hull City’s George Boyd who spat towards goalkeeper Joe Hart during Manchester City’s 2-0 win at the KC Stadium.

Boyd was subsequently banned for three matches despite appealing against the charge and protesting his innocence.

Fellaini was shown a yellow for the foul committed, but the spitting incident seemed to have been missed.
