Solskjaer to preside over a mass exodus at Old Trafford
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has promised the Old Trafford faithful a lot of transfer activities at the club this summer, which includes both ins and outs. According to Manchester Evening News, the Norwegian tactician is set to preside over a massive clear-out as he looks to freshen up the roster.
Solskjaer has initially planned a 12-month tenure to get rid of all the deadwood as he starts rebuilding the squad.
United have already parted ways with Ander Herrera and Antonia Valencia earlier in May. They are ready to jettison Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez as well, with the former being linked with a move to Inter Milan.
Defenders Matteo Darmian and Marcos Rojo are also expected to quit, having failed to win a considerable number of game time during their stay at Old Trafford. Ashley Young and Nemanja Matic could also be axed as the rise of Axel Tuanzebe could force either of Chris Smalling or Phil Jones out of the club.
