Barcelona weighing up a deal for Marcus Rashford
Barcelona are scouring the transfer market for a striker and have already earmarked a couple of prospects to satisfy their need. Antoine Griezmann is rumoured to be close to a move to the Nou Camp, while the Catalans are also interested in snatching Marcus Rashford from Manchester United's clutches.
According to Sport via The Metro, Ernesto Valverde views the English international as the perfect man to complete a trident alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. The Blaugrana are well aware that Rashford won't come cheap, with United expected to demand a fee in the region of £100m for their marksman.
Rashford's great pace and his young age are the two reasons why Valverde is keen to sign him, knowing that Luis Suarez is slowly edging past his prime at the age of 33.
However, the Catalans are confident that Bartomeu's good relationship with Woodward coupled with the Englishman's reluctance to sign a new deal could help them in securing his services.
