RCD Espanyol v Club Atletico de Madrid - La Liga
The Antonio Griezmann saga has taken an unexpected turn after recent reports revealed that the Frenchman was furious at Barcelona and their players. The Spanish champions were the front runners for the signature of the Frenchman in a £108 million deal, but we had revealed in this segment on 24th May that the Barcelona hierarchy had a change of heart and were convinced that the money would be better spent elsewhere.

The Express now reports that the Frenchman is furious with the recent turn of events and is particularly angry with the Barcelona players for advising the club against a potential deal. He feels that the Barcelona stars are desperately trying to stop him from joining the club. Griezmann even thinks that it could influence the Catalan giants to ultimately cancel any plans of bringing him to the Camp Nou.
All these uncertainly has put United in an unexpected advantage. The Red Devils were interested in signing the Atletico Madrid star in 2017 before he snubbed them and Jose Mourinho had to settle for Lukaku. Now it remains to be seen if Solskjaer can manage to get the player who eluded his predecessor.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
