de Ligt is still tempted by a move to the Premier League giants, which is why his impending transfer to Barcelona has stalled. His advisors believe that a move to the Premier League will better suit his ambition of becoming the world's best defender. Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two.
