Cardiff City, who were promoted to the Premier League, have named current chairman of Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation Mehmet Dalman as the club chairman from immediate effect.
The promotion of the British-Turkish Cypriot investment banker from club director to club chairman will mean that Simon Lim, who had held the position till date ,will resume his work as chief executive offer.
Soon after the appointment notice was declared to the public, Dalman told fcbusiness: “I am honoured to take up the role of Club Chairman at Cardiff City Football Club.
“I have enjoyed my time at the club since joining the Board of Directors in January 2012 and now relish the opportunity to contribute further in my additional role as Chairman with Cardiff City in the Barclays Premier League,” he added.
Major shareholder Tan Sri Dr. Vincent Tan exclaimed: “I am delighted to welcome Mehmet Dalman into his new and additional role at Cardiff City Football Club and look forward to many successful years ahead.
