#3. Georgia lost the plot in the second half
Despite trailing by a goal, Georgia looked more promising every time they attacked in the first half. The visitors were able to create good chances even though the hosts were playing with five at the back.
Saba Lobzhanidze should have equalized for Georgia but was denied by some brilliant defending by Stefan de Vrij.
Those rued chances really came back to haunt them as the Netherlands took complete charge of the game and gave Georgia no chance in the second half.
#4. Youngsters shine for Netherlands
The Netherlands have some quality youngsters in their squad and they proved their mettle against Georgia. Ryan Gravenberch, who recently turned 19, scored his first goal for the Dutch national side.
Gravenberch's teammate at Ajax, Jurrien Timber also put in a solid performance at the back. He combined well with De Vrij to register a clean sheet for their side. Another Netherlands player who impressed was Owen Wijndal.
#5. Wout Weghorst scored his first goal for the Netherlands
Wout Weghorst scored his first goal for the national team in their comprehensive win against Georgia. The Wolfsburg forward scored the Netherlands' second of the night to double their advantage soon after the restart.
Weghorst's goal gave the Dutch some breathing space as the visitors were threatening at the opposite end in search of their equalizer.
