F1 legend Michael Schumacher has always been a fan of the beautiful game. Earlier this week, he got the chance to meet and greet the German national football team, who were stationed at Tourrettes in South-eastern France for a preparatory camp, ahead of the upcoming Euro 2012 championships at Poland and Ukraine. Schumacher and his Mercedes GP teammate and fellow German Nico Rosberg were in France for the 2012 Monaco Grand Prix.
At first, Schumacher and Rosberg got to show off their driving tricks to the ‘Die Mannschaft’ in the brand new Mercedes A Class cars. Later, they spent time with the team and showed off their footballing skills too. Members of the German team who spent time with the Mercedes duo were Lukas Podolski, Marco Reus, Andre Schürrle and Tim Wiese. German national coach Joachim Löw was also there. He revealed that his team will be visiting Monaco for this weekend’s race. It looks like the Germans are keen on refreshing their minds ahead of the big tournament which starts on June 8!
