Messi and Arbeloa involved in spat

Lionel Messi and Alvaro Arbeloa came face to face in the Bernabeu car par after their Copa del Rey match which ended in 1-1.

Reports in Marca say that Ballon d’Or winner called ex-Liverpool player ‘stupid’ during a heated argument that left the Madrid player stunned.

Arbeloa’s wife was also present during the incident and she too, was left stunned.

Messi was immediately dragged back to the team bus.

Apparently, Messi had an argument with Real assistant manager Aitor Karanka also. Messi saw him in the tunnel and shouted:

‘What are you looking at? Shut up. You’re just [Jose] Mourinho’s puppet’.

Xabi Alonso was seen to reproach Messi several times which offended the 25 year old player.
