Mesut Ozil was the best player on the pitch during Arsenal’s 2-1 win over title rivals Manchester City, racking up 8/10 in the player ratings. The German midfielder assisted twice as Arsene Wenger’s team moved four points ahead of City in the title race.

The former Real Madrid player flawlessly set up Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud for their respective goals, taking up his assist tally to 15 for the season.

And, as one would assume, Arsenal supporters, already exulted with their win over City, couldn’t help themselves but hail his performance, with some even going to the extent of claiming him to be a better player than Lionel Messi.
