Metcash Food & Grocery (IGA) and StarTrack has been signed by Sydney FC for sponsorship deals, boosting the club’s commercial portfolio ahead of the 2013-14 A-League season.
Soccerex Business Daily reports that Sydney FC has recently signed some major sponsorship deals, including a deal that took last week when they signed Webjet and Destination NSW. The club seem to have reached its target sponsorship revenue of A$2 million (US$1. 82 million), as they also signed St George Bank as the club’s official community partner three weeks back.
Match day brand exposure as well as hospitality, ticketing and marketing benefits will be provided by the club to Metcash Food & Grocery (IGA) and StarTrack as a part of the contract.
Sydney FC CEO Tony Pignata said, “Independent research carried out by Repucom from the 2012-13 Hyundai A-League showed Sydney FC led the way in a lot of the key indicators including TV viewers, avid fans, merchandise and media space and the corporate market is responding to the positive figures as we move into the 2013-14 season.”
Australia’s eminent freight and logistics provider, StarTrack, has committed to broader A-League landscape and not just felicitating its relationship with the club.
Metacash, marketing and distribution company, brought up a match day sponsorship package in 2012-13 and from there to have increased is a relationship with the club now.
