Manchester United have been blasted by the manager of Mexico for their treatment of striker Javier Hernandez, who is a target for Premier League rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
The Manchester United striker has been heavily linked with the likes of Inter Milan and possibly in a swap-deal with Luke Shaw for Southampton, however, he has remained coy on his future until now.
The United striker has now admitted he does not want to be on the bench and is disgruntled with life at Old Trafford after falling behind in the pecking order for United. Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie are expected to occupy the forward roles under new manager Louis van Gaal, while Danny Welbeck and the expected additions up-front in the summer will rival him even more for a starting berth.
Hernandez’s future is now even more up in the air after Mexico manager Miguel Herrera blasted United for their treatment of the striker.
Herrera told reporters: “Chicharito had a difficult year because he had a different coach to the one that brought him to the club.
“That coach [Sir Alex Ferguson] left and he had another one [David Moyes]. But he has an impressive market in Europe and I believe he has huge possibilities to be part of another team, being one of the starting players.”
Hernandez has yet to started a game for Mexico at the World Cup this summer.
