One of the most underrated midfielder in the United team, Michael Carrick turns 31 today. Although he is underrated, that does not mean he is not important, as he and Scholes were United’s best center midfield pair last season in the league.
He’s always been the unfancied player, who does his job well. He’s the kind of player, who goes around doing his job quietly without attracting any attention. He breaks up play, has a good eye for the spectacular, and when at the peak of his game he’s able to play some “killer” passes that can split defenses.
