Serie A club AC Milan have released a statement denying rumours that they have placed their striker Mario Balotelli on the transfer list.
The 23-year-old Italian international joined Milan earlier this year from Manchester City, on a four-and-a-half year deal rumoured to be worth €20 million plus bonuses and add-ons.
The club statement read: “AC Milan firmly and absolutely deny statements that have been attributed to the chairman about Mario Balotelli being put on the transfer list.”
Balotelli has scored 18 goals so far in 25 league appearances and it appears unlikely that the club would take such a drastic step with them still being a part of this year’s Champions League.
