The EFL Championship returns with a fresh set of fixtures as Millwall and Burnley lock horns at the Den on Sunday. The Lions will look to beat Scott Parker’s visitors for the first time in eight meetings since 2012.
Millwall picked up consecutive wins for the first time this season on Saturday when they edged out Swansea City 1-0 at the Swansea.com Stadium. Before that, the Lions snapped their three-game winless run, edging out Plymouth Argyle 1-0 at home, courtesy of a first-half strike from Romain Esse.
Millwall have four wins from their 12 Championship games and are10th in the table, ahead of Bristol City on goal difference.
Meanwhile, Burnley were guilty of a lack of sting in front of goal last weekend as they played out a goalless draw with Queens Park Rangers at Turf Moor despite firing over 20 shots.
However, Parker’s men have gone nine games without defeat, claiming four wins since losing 2-0 against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the EFL Cup in August.
Burnley have picked up 23 points from 12 Championship games and are second in the points table, level on points with third-placed Leeds United and five points off leaders Sunderland.
Millwall vs Burnley Head-to-Head and Key Numbers

Millwall vs Burnley Prediction
While Burnley will look to continue their push to the top of the table this weekend, they must see off the challenge of a well-drilled Millwall side who have been tough to catch in recent weeks. Parker’s men are the favourites on paper, but home advantage gives Millwall an edge, and the hosts could hold out for a share of the spoils.
Prediction: Millwall 1-1 Burnley
