West Ham United have announced themselves as serious Premier League top-four contenders this season. They have outmuscled some of the best teams in the division, leaving them for dead thanks to their ferocity and efficiency.
Their forwards have been mighty impressive this season, especially Michail Antonio.
Antonio has scored eight goals and provided six assists in the Premier League this season, popping up with decisive contributions more often than not.
Much to the delight of the home supporters, nine (five goals, four assists) of his 14 goal contributions have come at the London Stadium.
His most notable performance at home came in gameweek 2 when registered a brace and an assist in a 4-1 win over Leicester City.
#2 Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) – 9 goal contributions
Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has emerged as the leading goalscorer in the Premier League this season. He has scored 16 times in 20 league appearances, including a hat-trick at Manchester United’s Old Trafford.
As if his scintillating form in front of goal was not enough, he has also proved nine assists in the English top-flight. His tally of nine puts him in second position in the league, just behind teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Out of his 25 goal contributions, only nine have come at Anfield, which goes on to prove his competitiveness outside his comfort zone.
The Egypt international has six goals and three assists to his name at Anfield this season, making him Liverpool's most prolific player at home.
His last goal at home came in the 3-1 win over Newcastle United on matchday 17.
#1 Jarrod Bowen (West Ham United) – 10 goal contributions
West Ham United forward Jarrod Bowen has been in sensational form since the start of the 2021-22 Premier League campaign.
The Hammers have greatly benefitted from the former Hull City man’s ingenious movement in the final third with a keen eye for goal.
The 25-year-old may not be the flashiest player in the English top-flight, but he is surely proving to be a handful, especially in home fixtures.
The Englishman has taken part in 24 league games for West Ham since August, registering seven goals and nine assists. Out of his 16 goal involvements, 10 (six goals, four assists) have come at the London Stadium.
Interestingly, four of his six goals have come in his last three home matches, making him the most in-form West Ham player at the moment.
