Though an official decision is yet to be taken, but it is learnt from sources that Mohammedan SC is likely to release their Australian striker Tolgay Ozbey.
Tolgay’s poor performance this season (1 goal from 11 matches in I-League) is the main reason for discomfort of the club officials. Tolgay was also recently showcaused by the club after making angry gestures while being substituted off in a match. He is strongly linked to Dempo SC as a replacement for their injured Irish striker Billy Mehmet.
Tolgay started his career in India with East Bengal Club in 2010 where he scored 35 goals in 48 matches. In 2012, he joined the club’s bitter rival Mohun Bagan AC. In the following season he was transferred to the newly promoted Mohammedan SC.
