Mohun Bagan will be looking to clinch their 14th Federation Cup title, a tournament which has been their forte and has won the maximum times. Bagan will be high on confidence after defeating arch-rivals East Bengal in the last match of the Calcutta league last Saturday with the help of a brilliant goal from Katsumi Yusa. Yusa seems to be in great form scoring in the last two matches for Bagan.
Meanwhile, Bagan’s star player Odafa was injured half way through the match against East Bengal but the injury was not too serious and was included in the squad for the Federation Cup. Bagan will play their first match against Mumbai FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi on Wednesday, the15th of January followed by two matches on the 18th and 21st respectively.
