Alvaro Morata has called on his Spain U-21 team-mate to join him at Real Madrid, with Isco being heavily linked with both Manchester City and Real Madrid.
Isco has been the centre of attraction after his impressive performances in the U-21 European Championships in Israel and the role he played in Malaga’s successful La Liga and Champions League campaigns.
Earlier, Manchester City had claimed that Isco would join them with former Malaga boss Manuel Pellegrini taking over the reins of the club, but Marca reported that a deal with Real Madrid could be reached very soon.
Morata has come out and told AS TV that he has been persuading Isco to join Madrid.
“I tried to put pressure on him. I told him that Madrid was the best club in the world. I have known him for a while – I know he has the capacity to do the dribbles he does, so that does not surprise me.”
Isco was met by AS TV reporters on his return to Madrid’s Barajas airport on Thursday, but he said: “I am not going to talk about my future. I’m off on holidays.”
