It is almost time for yet another FIFA World Cup to start, with just a few months left till the 2022 FIFA World Cup kicks off. The World Cup first started in 1930, with the host country Uruguay winning the first-ever World Cup. Since then the football teams have developed readily with different nations getting crowned the world champion over the years.
To date, 8 different countries have been able to become the world champions, but none has won the incredible trophy more than Brazil, who have won it on 5 different occasions. France is the most recent winner of the FIFA World Cup, having won the tournament in 2018. France bet Croatia 4-2 in the World Cup finals to win their second ever FIFA World Cup trophy.
