There is plenty of rumour and speculation regarding potential Chelsea signings this summer as there usually is, but with the return of Jose Mourinho, be prepared for these rumours to go mad in the coming weeks!
As we all know, we need to bolster certain positions in the squad and the obvious position is up front. With Fernando Torres and Demba Ba as our only options, and Romelu Lukaku returning after his successful loan spell at West Brom, Mourinho needs to evaluate his options, and quickly.
This morning in The Telegraph, it seems that along with Stefan Jovetic, Eden Dzeko has been identified as a main transfer target this summer, but as we know with City, they do not like to do business with any of their rivals in the Premier League.
The problem City have is their treatment of Dzeko, as it’s obvious looking in from the outside that the player is unhappy. Used as a bit part player and often on the bench behind Carlos Tevez and Sergio Aguero under Mancini, even after Ballotelli left the club, Dzeko will want to make sure his future is clarified under the incoming manager Manuel Pellegrini.
City fans may disagree and state that they feel he has an important role at the club, but surely they have to admit that the player isn’t happy.
Dzeko is a class act in my eyes. A natural finisher and someone that can hold the ball up and bring other people into play. I would have him here at Chelsea over Demba Ba any day, and I hope this rumour has some substance.
What do YOU people think about Dzeko? Is he someone that could be interested in a move to Stamford Bridge and if he did, would he be a success?
Carefree & KTBFFH!
