Jose Mourinho’s agent Jorge Mendes has claimed that the Portugal-born coach will equal Sir Alex Ferguson’s Legacy at Manchester United with Chelsea. The manager who is called “The Special One“ came back to the London club in 2013 after having moved to Inter Milan in 2007.
In an exclusive chat with BBC Sport, Mendes revealed that his famous client will stay at Stamford Bridge for a minimum of at least 10 years.
The 49-year-old Portuguese agent, who manages famous clients like Cristiano Ronaldo, Diego Costa, David De Gea among many other high-profile players, said: "Jose will stay for sure. He will be the Sir Alex Ferguson of Chelsea Football Club. He loves the supporters, he loves the city and I think he will stay there for more than 10 years."
The former FC Porto coach was speculated to join Manchester United after the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson two years ago, however, the 52-year-old coach preferred to join his former club Chelsea.
The former Real Madrid manager's current team has been impressive so far, with the club leading the table in the Premier League, having qualified for the knockout round in the European Champions League and also having reached the final of the League Cup.
Chelsea is scheduled to play against Aston Villa this weekend in their Premier League fixture, wherein new addition to the club Columbian Juan Cuadrado is likely to make his first appearance for his new club. Cuadrado moved to Stamford Bridge from Fiorentina on the transfer deadline day.
