German midfielder Thomas Muller has insisted that he has a good relationship with Dutch coach Louis Van Gaal, but admits that he is happy at Bayern Munich. With the 24 year old heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford since the Dutch coach took over the job, insists that he is happy at Bayern Munich, ruling out a possible move in the summer.
“It’s no secret that Louis van Gaal and I have a special relationship but, as everyone knows, I also have a special relationship with FC Bayern Munich. I am under contract at Bayern until 2017,”
“We have just won the domestic double and now I am looking forward to the World Cup. I have the feeling that I will play an important role at FC Bayern — and I 100 percent identify with the club and the people around the club. That’s a fact.
“I enjoy playing for Bayern — actually, there is nothing nicer.”
Thomas Muller was one of the key players to be promoted by Louis Van Gaal from the youth team to the first team during Van Gaal’s tenure at Bayern Munich 5 seasons ago.
With Muller ruling out a possible move in the summer, Manchester United should have been dealt a major blow and might need to look at other options available in the summer.
