#3 Mats Hummels
Mats Hummels was another player who was keen to see Ancelotti leave the club.
Even though he enjoyed a good spell under Ancelotti (three clean sheets in six games), his form wasn't great. He averaged just two defensive actions per game. He also made a colossal error that lead to a goal against Mainz, who thrashed Bayern 4-0.
That's the story of the past, though.
Since Heynckes took over, he has been excellent. Hummels averages 6.6 defensive actions under Heynckes, which is more than any other Bayern player. He has won 62% duels and 60% aerial battles.
It takes just an inspiring personality in the dugout to make a player click. In the case of Hummels, that person is Heynckes.
