Manchester United winger Luis Nani has confirmed that he would like to remain at Old Trafford next season. The Portugal international has been in extensive negotiations with Manchester United over prolonging his current deal with the club and the fast and tricky flankman hopes that he is supported by manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
Luis Carlos Almeida da Cunha, also known as Nani, was brought to Manchester United for a reported transfer fee of £14.5 million from Sporting Lisbon in the summer of 2007. The Cape Verde born footballer has since then been a popular character at Manchester United where he has accumulated 25 goals in 124 Premier League outings. In order to avoid any further transfer speculations, Luis Nani now wants to have his playing future sorted out before Manchester United Chief Executive David Gill leaves for South Africa.
