Manchester United player Nani is disconcerted as his future at Old Trafford remains uncertain.
The 26-year-old winger admitted that he has had an inconsistent season with the United. Even with the former champions having reclaimed the Premier League title, Nani felt relegated as he watched newcomer Robin van Persie hogging the spotlight.
With only a year left in his contract, speculations are mounting concerning his future with the club. Rumours of the club placing a £8.5 million price tag on Nani’s head don’t help the matters either.
But the Portuguese international is putting on a brave front in the face of all this confusion.
“My future? Nothing is certain,” Nani told reporters. “I am calm. I have everything in my hands.
“I am not saying that I will not continue at Manchester United. I will think about what is best for me.”
One thing he is confident about is the fact that he will not be making a comeback to his native Portugal anytime in the near future.
“I have respect for the Portuguese clubs, especially Sporting Lisbon but also Benfica and Porto, but I don’t think that is viable,” he said.
